Our Pastor

Pastor Lou was born in Paterson, NJ (1961) and moved to Wayne when he was 11 yrs. old. He came to trust Jesus as his Lord and Savior shortly after attending Calvary in 1972. He grew up involved in youth group and church related activities and felt God's call to go into full time ministry. He attended Northeastern Bible College upon high school graduation. There he met his future wife Patti and they were married in 1983.


After graduating Pastor Lou accepted the position of youth pastor at CGC where he served until 1995. The family relocated to NY State for a year where Pastor Lou taught and coached in a Christian school. After much prayer Pastor Lou decided that he needed to go to seminary for some more theological education and training and attended Biblical seminary where he graduated with a Master's in theology in 2008. While in PA., Pastor Lou served as Assistant Pastor of the Bethany Bible Fellowship Church of Hatfield from 1996-2012 where he received his ordination.

Our desire is to share and live out the gospel message of Jesus Christ in order to fulfill the biblical mandate that God has given us in His Word. In order for us to be able to love and support one another, we prioritize Biblical teaching, promote God-centered worship, highlight the value of prayer, and prioritize friendship with one another. Our church is a welcoming, compassionate community that seeks to embody the gospel in our church, our families, and our surroundings. We want to invite you to come see what God is doing in our church and join us as we seek first His kingdom and direct people to our Savior.

  • What can I expect from Calvary Gospel Church?

    At Calvary Gospel Church, we are a church ministry committed to sharing the spirit of God and making disciples. We endeavor to live our lives as examples of God's grace and love through loving and serving our church community. When you join us for worship, you can expect to engage with a church family that will encourage and equip you to grow in your faith. From the youth to the elderly, there is a place for everyone here! 

     

    When we plan events for our church family we encourage our members to interact with each other to find where their paths of faith align. We serve the one living, true, and infinite God and praise him with every service in our Lutheran church.
