Thanksgiving Letter 2023

Thanksgiving Letter 2023

Malachi 3:10 - Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows."

Dear Church Family,

Here we are again for the time of year that we give thanks to our God for all of His bountiful blessings. I say bountiful because we could never run out of things that we can thank the Lord for. As He did in the Old Testament with the children of Israel, He will do for us as we obey His Word and share HIs love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness with others. Obedience brings blessings, and disobedience brings consequences, and as we see in our scripture passage, God’s blessings overflow to those that are His children!

As we look back at 2023, we can certainly see blessings overflow. Our bills are all paid, we were able to do a number of renovations at the church and over at the parsonage, our missionaries are being well supported and we even were able to raise the funds for our missionary trip. We can also be thankful for the new members that joined our church and also many more new people attending. We can say with certainty that God has blessed us at CGC.

To celebrate these blessings, we will have a special Thanksgiving service on Sunday, November 19. During this service we will have a time for thanking God during the pastoral prayer times so please come with a full heart to overflow with prayer. We will also collect our Thanksgiving offering which will be used to give us a good start to financial stability for the new year.

I am thankful for you all and can’t wait to see how God will overflow His blessings on CGC for 2024. I invite you to share your blessings, with Him, and His ministry, at CGC, by giving above and beyond your tithe to this year’s Thanksgiving offering.

Blessings,

Pastor Lou
